Why should you donate to "Van Money"?

We are passionate to a fault about this project. Ask Tim or Katharine a simple question about "Van Money", and you'll likely end up with a 10 minute response. We really can't wait to see it ourselves. It's a movie that blends genres so seemlessly that there's something for everybody. Comedy? Check. Romance? You bet. Car chases and heists gone arwy? Yessir. A 1984 VW Vanagon? She's our star and her name's Betsy.

If we haven't sold you on it yet, consider this: It's being filmed in our homestate, Vermont.

We knew this film could only take place in Vermont for many reasons, not the least of which was our wish to make the beautiful countryside of Vermont as much of a character in our story as Betsy the Vanagon. It is also true that many young artists leave Vermont for places with larger art scenes and more networking opportunities. While we ourselves have done so - although Sam and Tim are presently living in Putney, VT - we also cherish the opportunity to bring our work and our collaborators back to Vermont for this special project. We believe that it can only be mutually beneficial for independent artists and the state, to work together in making worthwhile projects happen.
This is part of Who's Asking Productions' mission to art, theatre, and film that promotes community and challenges the conventions that real artistic work only happens in certain cities. Art for Everyone! Theatre Everywhere! Film on a Budget!
